For $15 you get a hand-building pottery class at
Living Water Pottery in College Station (a $30 value). Split into two visits, the first class provides two hours for hands to push and pull at 5 pounds of clay as one-on-one attention aids in intricate molding techniques, including slab building and pinch potting. The completed ceramic will be delicately baked in a toasty warm kiln after the first session. The one-hour follow-up visit, scheduled one week later, will present the newly cooked project naked and awaiting a modest coat of paint before it is placed tenderly back into the kiln to seal in the final touches.
